How EREU Can Help?
At Essex Racial Equality Unit (EREU), we understand that racial injustice takes many forms. That’s why we offer three types of intervention to support individuals and communities facing discrimination:
Advice & Guidance – We provide expert advice to help individuals understand their rights and options when facing racial injustice. This includes a free 30-minute assessment to evaluate your case.
Case Intervention – If further support is needed, we offer targeted intervention, such as writing formal complaints, attending meetings, or advocating on your behalf.
Community & Systemic Advocacy – We work with communities and organizations to address systemic issues, ensuring policies and practices promote equality and inclusion.
Our work addresses issues such as:
- Racism & Discrimination – Facing racial bias in public, private, or voluntary sector services.
- Malicious Complaints – Wrongful accusations leading to anti-social behaviour orders.
- Honour Abuse & Cultural Pressure – Coercion into unethical cultural practices that violate UK law.
- Domestic Violence & Modern Slavery – Fear of seeking help due to cultural stigma.
- Institutional Racism & Racial Profiling – Unequal treatment in accessing services.
- Racial Bullying in Schools – Impacting a child’s education, confidence, and well-being.
If you need support, contact us today. Together, we can work towards a fair and inclusive society.
